A proposed governance model for the adoption of geoparks in Australia is an article based on PhD research findings by Dr Alan briggs. The article was jointly written with Professor Ross Dowling and Emeritus Associate Professor David Newsome.

The article addresses the range of possibilities and Local Government Authority options that exist in Australia to manage geoparks.
